Sustainability
We are very aware of the United Nations Global Goals, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, and we strive to strengthen sustainability across these measures and fulfill our responsibilities as part of society, and in alignment with our corporate values.
Yuzu
SDGs Corresponding Number: 2, 12, 15, 17
We disclose the entire process from producer through to delivery to customers to guarantee safety of use. Waste is reduced by recycling the post-juicing residue (post-juicing peel) that would otherwise be discarded.
In addition, with on-site tours by visitors, and harvest support events, we aim to build a deep relationship with the local community and revitalize the region.
We also offer other Japanese citrus essential oils such as Kabosu, Sudachi, and Naoshichi, as well as oils extracted from ginger.
Japan has both the largest production and consumption of yuzu in the world. It is the most cold-resistant among citrus fruits.
It has a characteristic sweet and sour aroma and is very well liked by Japanese people.
Countries we exported Yuzu Oil
Japanese Cypress
SDGs Corresponding Number :12,15、17
We sell an oil extract from thinned cypress grown in the first forest in Japan to obtain FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification.
We contribute to the reduction of fossil fuels, greenhouse gases, and energy conservation through re-use of waste thinned wood, and by using the residue left after extraction as a biomass fuel at our manufacturing companies.
Perilla / Shiso : Green perilla
SDGs Corresponding number :2、12、17
We are conducting a trial on the cultivation of Green Perilla on a 10 hectare farm plot and will test and explore the properties of the oil extracted from the harvested Green Perilla.
We aim to supplement domestic perilla and provide a stable supply for future demand.
